I'm Raed (like ‘Rapid,’ without the P), a Capital Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and writer based in Brooklyn. Through image and word, I’m here for the story.

My work spans international nonprofits, media outlets like BBC News and Christianity Today, and think tanks like the UVA Center for Politics. I write, direct, shoot, edit, research, and consult—telling stories that illuminate, challenge, and resonate.

WRITING

“Common Grounds?,” the first ever student-produced documentary by the University of Virginia Center for Politics, was nominated in the category for Best Cultural/Topical documentary by the Capital Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The film features several students from the center’s 2021 intern class and other UVA students of contrasting political views working together to achieve a shared goal.
